The hotel offers a homely atmosphere and generally okay rooms, although they can be excessively hot even with the windows open. Not suitable for those with mobility issues due to several flights of stairs. Service is extremely friendly, the accommodation is comfortable, and the breakfasts are first class. However, some staff members appeared a bit distant. The location is exceptional, overlooking a lovely park and within a 5-minute walk of the town center. The dining experience was lovely, with adequate spacing and safety measures despite the cold outside temperature.

I must say the hotel provided a mixed experience. The room, although clean and comfortable, lacked a view but was adequate. The service was excellent, with staff going the extra mile to accommodate us. The location was superb, right across from the park, and the dining options, while good, had some limitations. Overall, a decent stay with some room for improvement.

I had a pleasant stay at the hotel with clean and comfortable rooms providing views of the park. The service was accommodating, and the location was exceptional, especially for visitors attending the Buxton Festival. However, the dining options were a bit limited, and the fire escape view from the room was not ideal.
